Sierra Dyer is a fine art wedding photographer and graphic designer located in LaRue, Ohio and available for weddings in Columbus, Ohio and beyond.
I’m a fine art wedding photographer specializing in both film and digital formats, a wedding stationer skilled in flat digital design, and a graphic designer with a focus on creating brands that are modern, whimsical, and minimalistic.
I’m fueled by human connection, the joyfulness of couples in love, and the tangible creation of imagery and design to preserve memories. My hope is that the moments I capture and the words I print become timeless keepsakes.
My passion as an artist and storyteller are to create imagery that is emotive, classic, and ultimately beautiful. I’m deeply inspired by people in love, find beauty in the small moments, and bring the perfect combination of enthusiasm and purposefulness to preserve people as they naturally are.
I learned my craft through my upbringing on my family’s farm in southwestern Ohio where I began photographing with a point and shoot camera. My subjects were sheep, cows, corn fields, and pastures. Years later, I enrolled in a photography course in college, sparking a desire for a professional camera. Rightfully earned through a summer job working at a garage door factory, I obtained a Nikon D7000 and two kit lenses.
In 2012, I started my photography business, sitting at my small dorm room desk, by creating a Facebook page called CeeCee Farm & Livestock Photography. My then career passion was to be a photographer in the livestock and agriculture industry. This venture didn’t take off as I had hoped, but friends and family noticed my imagery, and they started seeking me for portraits instead.
In 2017, I photographed my first wedding and caught what I like to call the “wedding bug.” Since then, my business has become people-centered through both wedding photography and stationery design. My ability to connect with people paired with an editorial spirit, allow me to guide my subjects into authentic poses and curate photos that embrace a film-inspired style.
I consider serving couples on one of the most memorable days of their life a huge responsibility. I anticipate moments, read emotion, and I’m not afraid to step in as a boutonniere pinner, dress buttoner, or gown fluffer.
Away from photography and design, I’m a wife and dog mom, a book lover, iced coffee drinker, and a wild flower gardener.
“We booked with Sierra because we had heard so many wonderful things about her work when I was searching for a photographer, and when we had a chance to view it for ourselves online, we knew she was who we wanted to book with. On one of the biggest days of our lives, we had no doubt in my minds that Sierra would turn the best day into photos that we could cherish forever. Our favorite part about working with Sierra was even though we had never met her, when we had our first session for our engagement pictures, she made us feel very comfortable. For both our wedding and engagement photos, Sierra made us feel relaxed which helped the photos and sessions feel very natural. When we saw our wedding photos, we felt overjoyed. Even today looking back on them now, they still bring tears to my eyes.”
“We decided to book with Sierra Dyer Co because her attention to detail is spectacular. She has a creative eye for capturing not only the big moments but also the small, meaningful moments that happen throughout the day. One of the things we loved about Sierra is that she likes to use natural light for the best lighting. We truly couldn't be happier with our experience with Sierra! Sierra was very organized, which made us feel prepared and confident before our big day. She put together an itinerary of the wedding day, which made everything run smoothly and we were able to get all the pictures we wanted and so much more! Having the opportunity to work with Sierra for our engagement session was comforting as we had limited experience in front of the camera. Sierra guided us through poses that felt natural and by the wedding day, we felt like pros!”
